The talk of 'OMG SMU sucks. I can't believe we lost to them' on this board is astounding. I thought Tiger fans watched/appreciated college ball. It is simply ignorant to equivocate SMU of the past two years to that of CUSA. The difference in their program under Larry is night and day.

I wanted the win more than any of this season but to expect it was setting yourself up for disappointment and demanding it is downright foolish.

SMU is a very good team that received national attention from non-sports media. They are coached by a living legend. Memphis lost to a nationally ranked team like it was expected to.

It has been repeated ad nauseum that Tigers fans have developed an unreasonable expectation of success relative to the historical accomplishments (or lack thereof) of the basketball program.

I was actually pleased with a lot of the things I saw in the first half and the first few minutes of the second half.
