Rock bottom.

Your statement is an argument of false equivalence. It's a pretty sad and pathetic way to argue a point. Not surprising, however.

How so? Explain to me how I'm "so basely oversimplifying the situation." Explain to me how additional factors negate any equivalence that I'm trying to assign to the two situations.

Careful - he claims an "argument of false equivalence" rather than "it's not the same thing."
