NC Central won 28 games and 15-1 in their conference last year. Did Josh know when he scheduled them they would be a cupcake this year? Even if he did a reason for scheduling cupcakes is to give some of the reserves a chance to play more minutes because sooner or later they are going to be needed. With 3 games scheduled this week the starters may need the break they got tonight.

We just take our own advice that we give to people who can't enjoy the win. We tell them to be happy and enjoy the win. So... be happy and enjoy the win.

Dude, it's nothing that every other team in America doesn't do. Just about everyone's non-conference is filled with these buy games. NC Central is actually pretty decent.

When you look at their other games against major teams, our win looks pretty impressive, although I am certainly not suggesting "we're back".

vs Cincy L 59-50 (9)
vs Maryland L 67-56 (11)
vs Memphis L 81-47 (34)
Essentially, the Tigers beat them by the combined margins of UNC, Cincy, & Maryland

Again, it was a resounding win against a team that we should beat, but they are half-ass.

Opponent may not have been stellar but it was fun to watch, especially Jake McDowell's dunk and trey.

If anyone cares, a Cincy fan said that this team has not lost by more then 20 points since 2011 and they have played a tough schedule this year.

Come on, man. Not one person has even mentioned that as a possibility. People are just happy for the win, that's all. Pastner is still as bad a coach now as he was before the game, doesn't mean we can't celebrate the win.

Me too. I snickered many a times during the game. We just played one of the worst teams in college basketball and some on here think that's reason to celebrate or progress.

I agree, we are in no position to take anyone lightly. We have a loooooong way to go. Thats why it feels just a little better to have won so easily tonight.

I like a blowout win but beating cupcakes doesn't do too much for me. All it does to some on here is hide the same deficiencies we've been talking about with pastner for years.

Let's beat some real teams.

This is where I can't stand the anti-Pastner crowd. Pastner was expected to be in the final four in year two. And then he had a group hang over his head a record of top 25 wins (or lack thereof). When he finally had a season where he won several top 25 games there were those on here that still hated him. I don't know if I think Pastner is the right guy or not but it is those types of "miserables" that make me ok with giving him time this year....again. I feel like there is a group of people on here that are so hellbent on being right that they look forward to (sub-consciously) the Tigers losing games....just so they can say "see, I was right."
