Until the minutes are approved any vote isn't 'final' as a member of the prevailing side can bring any matter back up for reconsideration...

This is true. Which is why I thought we wouldn't be able to start work on the Dec 30.

And I imagine deed transfers won't happen until then, either.

Which is why some of those who were most vocal against the deal voted for it.

My impression of the majority opinion of this message board was that upkeep and operation of an "On Campus Stadium" was too expensive and a losing proposition. So, now we're OK with all that for an Off Campus Stadium?

There was an article in the Wall Street Journal a couple of years ago about tax deductions for large donations toward sky boxes, naming rights etc. for colleges.

The school would have more leverage to lease those boxes now.

There may be some tax deductions for operating expenses at the LB.

Those costs would have been on top of the cost of whatever half a billion dollar soulless aluminum piece of **** we would have built on campus. A couple million a year is a lot easier to sidestep than $30-40M/year.

I think there were other excuses - nowhere to put it, no campus infrastructure, no support from the city.
This takes care of all of those.

Does anyone else get the impression that the OP is slightly unhappy with the attention given to football or men's basketball.
