Where are the 40000 or so fans, they sure are not in the stands. Hard to be at one's best with constant criticism.

What was the announced attendance last night ? It looked close to 40K to me. There were a lot more at this game that the other 3 home games. But why do people like you always blame fans when a coach underachieve? I never have understood how what’s said on a message board than most fans don’t even know about has to do with anything. Here’s a newsflash for you ALL sports fans are the same

I expect us to not get manhandled by Tulane or any other team in our conference. Its one thing to get pushed around by an SEC school. Its another for a fellow G5 team to do it.

Eh? I don't like the escalation that happened in this thread. But that sounds like the loser mentality some had when we settled for Larry Porter. We are NOT lucky to have Ryan Silverfield. No other program in the country would hire him as a head coach.

Let's see ... We are 4-2 with losses to 2 Top 25 teams ... To be honest, in the Pre-season I figured we would be 3-3 with 4-2 being possible at this point in the season ...

With the NIL becoming basically a 'Pay to Play' and the transfer portal; we will never bet P5 talent in Football ...

I don't hold out any hopes for us to be included in any P5 expansion unless the ACC implodes ... It is what it is ...

It's cute how there are people pretending that Memphis is a premier landing spot for a "sure bet" coach that will perform materially better than the coach we have. At best we get rid of Silverfield and we have to roll the dice yet again. Perhaps we find a winner. Perhaps we find ourselves worse off than ever before, having to fire yet another coach in quick succession, further tarnishing the program's reputation.

The season isn't close to being over. We may continue losing games, ending up matching last season's performance or worse. There is also a strong possibility we win the remainder of our games. Ultimately, patience is warranted to let the season play out. If Silverfield craps the bed, I'm convinced the administration will do what is necessary.
