I'd much rather fund idealistic crap over taking away medicaid from old and poor folks like 'your boy' in DC.
I'm an old folk. In the last 6 years my medical expenses have tripled despite having no increase in health problems. Despite the "idealistic " health benefits coming from "your boy" that is now out travling the world. Please explain to this old folk the difference between not having the wherewithal or it not being there at all.
I agree with you, but I don't see how cutting medicaid makes things better. If they need money (and they do) cut that ridiculous military budget.
are you bonkers? North Korea testing nuclear missles to reach the USA, ISIS threat to the USA, entire Middle East threat to USA, and you want to cut (your word) ridiculous military budget.
I'm glad you were not around during World War Two or we would all be speaking German. Where do you people come from?
Conservatives have got to one day accept that America is not the worlds police...let Japan/S Korea/China deal with DPRK. Let Israel deal with ISIS. It's not our problem. America needs to worry about America.

I am Conservative and do not necessarily disagree with the statement that we are not the world's police. However there are things going on that us arm chair Generals know nothing about. Like Iraq and Afghan may seem like ridiculous battle fronts to the layperson, but the bottom line is now we have bases on either side of Iran and open air space for Israel. Couldn't see it back in the 90's, but it's obvious 20 years later.
Having said that, cutting back our military budget is ludicrous! This world is full of jealous countries that would love to take us by land from the north or south and by sea from the east or west. Our military might, and God bless each and every one of those that serve, is to defend us from being overrun.
I don't care how you take this statement, you are entitled to your opinion, but I thank the Lord every day that people with the same mindset like you are not in charge of our great nation. And you can thank our great military for being able to voice your opinion.

Well, let's not go so overboard. I am not saying let's drop our military and run around with peace flags. I am saying we are spending so much money on military it is insane. How much does it cost everytime we drop a bomb? Do you know Obama dropped over 100k bombs during his presidency? Do you know that in 2016 Obama dropped around 28k bombs? How much did all that cost and how effective was it? How much did we just spend to outfit the Iraqi troops in FOREST CAMOFLAGE? We aren't spending billions on DEFENSE, we are tossing BILLIONS around like it is free money.
Tell me, do you think our military does not have the arsenal RIGHT NOW, without spending another penny, to destroy North Korea 10,000 times over? Of course we do, so why do you think we should go spend another 500 billion?
Last year we spent 610 billion on military, China (the next country) spent 216 billion, yet somehow you can rationalize that and think we are getting our money's worth? It is a scam. It is just ways to make our politicians richer and richer. They invest in the companies that are getting all the big contracts.
