Wolo thinks two more - Buggs and he said that he continues to hear of another player immediately eligible - whether grad transfer or HS or JC he didn't say and he didn't provide a name.

Unless you're gonna get the 5* recruit like Brandon Ingram or Ben Simmons, you never know what you're gonna get.

Tubby is proven coach. Let's see what he does. I believe he will do well.

We've missed postseason 2 years straight, so we have to rebuild the brand a bit before you start landing big time recruits.

I just know when all the other bogus reasons to be mad at Cal about "taking players" were disproven that was the go to argument.

"Cal used our money to recruit those kids" - mimi

It was stupid then and would be stupid in this instance. The thing I find fascinating is that none of the folks who were up in arms then seem to mind now. Sports. Fanatics. Lack of common sense.

Getting mad about a coach employed by a school using that schools funds to recruit players to play for him while he was the coach at the school and then offering the same kids to play for him after becoming the coach at a different school is a non starter. The kids should get to play where they want to play.

But not really coaching in an NCAA game while still employed by the school you are coaching in the NCAA is a starter.

Missouri was the 3 seed.

They went on to lose to the 1 seed UCONN in the Elite 8 by 7 points.

Dude hit a halfcourt shot before halftime against the Tigers.

It wasn't as if they lost to a slaw team and it wasn't as if Memphis had been world beaters all season either.

I don't know if Cal did or didn't "throw" the game against Missouri, but folks act like Memphis lost in the Sweet 16 to 16 seed State.

Then you want Memphis to be a mediocre program with no realistic shot at Elite 8 and double digit losses most years.

Because the odds of the happening with the last coach were extremely high......

You think he threw the game? I haven't heard that one. You must lack common ( or any apparently) sense. I just watched him on the bench. To summarize he really didn't coach like he did in the past. It was obvious he had checked out. If you can't understand the difference then you are as you seem.
