To a certain extent, this has to be done to complete at the highest level of intercollegiate athletics. It is what it is.

Whatever he needs to do to get them here, Josh needs to do it....But he needs Assistants that are bagmen and with the ability to Develop them into NBA Talents....Whatever you wanna call it, call it.....But that needs to happen, cause his coaching isn't gonna get it done without Help....Yes make the investments.....No Limits....The World Is Ours Memphis....

I just don't see him doing what you are suggesting. I have telling my family and friends for six years that if I was in Josh's situation/shoes I would hire me an outstanding former coach and pay him extra out of my own pocket in addition to the 300k. I would tell him---I need you to save my job, show me how to coach, show me how to motivate, show me how to win, show me everything there is to know and I will take care of you financially. The problem is Josh hasn't been smart enough to think of the idea, or he's too stubborn, or he believes he's a great coach and he's not the problem. It's one of those reasons.

I love Tiger Athletics and Support all of it....But Josh needs help either get assistants with Big Time Connections and Bring it, or get assistants that can flat out coach and teach him how....But unless he does something fast he is just buying time....Football is surpassing the Basketball Program as number 1 and it has too in order to get where we wanna be.....But Josh has to do something, Investments, Better Coaches, Learn from his assistants but he has to make major changes going forward.....No Limits....The World Is Ours Memphis....

Look folks. A bagman won't help. No matter the level of talent he gets, they have to be coached once they get here. The only thing that will help is a competent head coach. We will never have that with Opie.

SFA looked really coached up. Really coached up. MTSU got hot and got some great luck. I didn't see huge coaching moves there. Didn't catch the VCU game.

The other thing is, none made the S16 either. So, still looking like you need to be loaded to get where we're trying to get. And have the coaching, too.

Forget it. Josh is a Dead Man Walking as the Memphis head coach and nothing short of an act from God will change this. No X/O assistant, bagmen, super recruiters, or anything else will correct this inept guy’s demise of our program. He’s pi$$ed too and will make sure we ALL will suffer. Book it.

It’s a done deal now and this forum should take a break until 2020. Mods: Split Basketball & Football into separate forums ASAP.
