I have always admired Garcia as a player despite the fact he is a Cardinal but if this is true I have lost all respect for him as an athlete and person.
I saw Garcia go over to DWash right before the awards ceremony and say something to him which I thought was very classy, but if this is true that he did give the throat slash, then what a poor reflection on him.
Both teams played their hearts out and left it all on the floor. 04-cheers I hope this is not true after the effort all of the players gave. Nobody deserved that.

Because the clock was on 00.0.

If the game clock is at zero, the light is on...I don't think there's an off switch for it.

not that it changes anything but Garcia is 23, not 25. I don't know what Majerus is smoking when he calls our games but he always inflates Garcia's age. If FG did this I am extremely disappointed.

tigerjeb, I love that pic in your sig. I have fond memories of that year and the following... I still miss seeing DeJuan Wheat wearing the red and white.

I think Garcia got on the scorer's table to make sure RC Johnson saw him from his perch in the skyboy and signal to the Memphis AD that his days are numbered at the university.

CBS showed TigerTwice throwing his visor/hat at one of the UL players...I actually wish it had been a much harder object.

I'm pretty sure Garcia has a birthday every month if you believe what you read on message boards. 25, 27, he might even be 35!

Or actually he just turned 23 less than 3 months ago. In other words he's the same age as anyone's seniors who redshirted. I love how people act like he's a generation older than the people he's playing against.

Regardless he is old enough and has played long enough to know better.
I don't see him making it in the pro's.
Can't see a pro team putting up with that whinning, or his off nights!

Quote:shall we pull up the comments from louisville fans 3 years ago when john grice gave freedom hall the ol throat slash?

you cant justify that kind of behavior. it is not worthy of what happened on that court today

Exactly what I was thinking when I read this thread. Fans always seem to have convienent memory losses.

As far as Cisco's age; do you remember the kid from the Dominican Republic or Puerto Rico that lied about his age so he could pitch in the Little League World Series?

Well Cisco is from one of those islands; so he could've been confused about his age.

Remember that these are the same Louiseville fans that crap on Arkansas a log when we rushed the court when we defeated them at the Pyramid.

But if the tables were turned; how would they respond if two Tiger players jumped up on the Freedom hall scorers table?

Fans rushing the court isn't bad sportsmanship; jumping on the scorers table and acting the thug certainly is!!!

Outstanding effort and game, by both teams. That is how a Championship game should be played.

If Garcia did that, he was out of line. I don't like to see players (on any team) disrespecting other teams' players or fans. I remember the two separate games in Freedom Hall where the Memphis player did the throat slashing to UofL fans late in the games, when he thought they were about to seal the win, and thought that was totally classless and uncalled for. Again, if Garcia did this...I feel the same way. Both are probably great individuals, but got too caught up in the heat of the moment and went overboard with their demonstrations. Not acceptable behavior by any means.

Good luck in the future.

I completely echo this sentiment. I didn't see him do it, but if he did, it is completely out of line.

I can definitely tell you he was on the scorer's table. I couldn't see what he was doing, mainly because I was trying to get my head and my computer the heck out of the way in case he fell.

Both of them were on the table. Myles first, closer to center court, and then Garcia after Myles got down.

I asked this very question at the ITV board on a thread entitled "Players jumped on tables" Saturday afternoon and it my post was completely deleted. The only comments were of how great it was they did that!!

If our guys had done this in their house, we'd never hear the end of it from the U of L fans and C-J.

Double standards are running rampant.

Do not believe everything you read... I seriously doubt that Garcia gave the Slash Throat or Choke Sign on the scorers table... People are always making this stuff up on these forums.. Anyone have any evidence of this or is it "My cousins uncles brothers sisters girlfriend who knows a guy that lives in Memphis saw Garcia.........."
