Quote:You are totally out of your mind, 2/3 of the people on that side are season ticketholders.. there were 53,000 there we averaged 42,000 for the year, so you are trying to say fewer than 42,000 came to the old myth game? Another delusional old myth fan.

Me and memphisrebel drank a very unhealthy amount of liquor the night before that game. We were out to the wee hours of the morning. He can’t be held accountable for what he thinks he saw that day because if he felt anything like me then the game was a beautiful blur. It might not have been so beautiful to him though.

I can't wait!!! It is gonna be so much fun to pound Coach Ogre and his weenie-boys into the ground. The best part may be to listen to his post-game, illiterate excuses!

In just three short seasons, West has turned around the Memphis football fortunes and has built an overall record of 17-19-0 while becoming the eighth-winningest coach in U of M football history.

I laughed so hard when I read this that I think peed a little!

with 2 of those 17 wins against now hapless Mississippi & maintaining a winning record of 2-1 against the Rebels.

rebel tiger fans know who we are. we know
we r a program that has struggled to
be competitive. we r now competitive and
teams like mississippi have no choice
but cxl us for fear of losing.
mississippi fans need to realize what their
program really is.
Tiger fans please explain to these ignorant
rebel fans where their program is. they seem
to think they r a program others respect.

Kpigout - You wanna call someone a dumb***, go talk to the webmaster over at GoTigersGo.com... thats where I got the "Quote" from.

As for our future... who knows. I will say that if we are dillusional, they you guys are down right hallucinating! You should be proud of your accomplishments, but keep it to yourself. That goes to any Rebel fans reading this too!

Speaking of which, Congrats to the Rebel Baseball team, could we draw as many fans to the games as they have? Probably not since it not important to us, B/S! We would love to be in that position right now. Anyway I never thought I would live to see Memphis beat Tenn or go to another bowl both which have happened so I might live to see us have another good baseball team sometime down the road.

I looked at Memphis' recruitment class for this year, and its no comparison to Ole Miss'. Their class is ranked 72.

Last year we were 39 in recruitment...this year 29....good job Coach O, since you had only 3 weeks to recruit...watch what he can do in a year!!

And where was our class ranked last year?

And who won THAT game?

Oh yeah.

I dare say that Ole Myth has outranked us in recruiting pretty much forever.

Now pay attention, I'll let you in on a little secret....

Those rankings are based on how well the prospective players did in High School, typically against MUCH weaker competition, and in a completely different system (but nevermind the whole "this system v. that one" thing as they WERE recruited based on their potential to contribute to the system in place)

The point being... they've never played a down of DI football and recruit rankings are nothing more than a BIASED, SEMI-educated GUESS... especially considering the fact that most of those who do such polls have never even seen the guys play, only read what has been written and hyped about them... so in reality, all your recruiting ranks are nothing more than a shot in the dark.
