1.) its a MEMPHIS message board - if anyone "came on here" it was you.

2.) i didn't "tell you what happened" - i only indicated that your story didn't have a "ring of truth" to it. get over it. who died and made you "supreme ruler of all the earth, to be believed no matter what you post on a rival's internet message board."

3.) i never even tried to pull up any police report. its really not worth my time. i don't think you can just get online and pull up a police report in memphis (i could be wrong, but i am not going to waste my time trying to find out).

4.) not knowing whether or not you can look up a police report DOES indeed make me "ignorant" (at least about whether or not you are able to look up police reports online). ask me if i care.

so basically you hate anyone who doesn't believe what you have to say. and the school they attended. life must've been grand @ ole mrs. if everyone believed everything you had to say there.

did you even read the [edit] portion at the end of the post? have you had time to see it. it contains an apology, and well wishes for you and your wife. it concedes the point about the crime stats for that area. chill out dude, i didn't believe you. its not a crime in this country (esp. on an internet msg board)

I see that now, my bad. I guess with only flea markets going on there, there isn't too much activity.

......................and I still say you are a liar.................no one was going to "mug" you at 3:00 p.m. in the afternoon with so many people leaving the stadium heading toward the CU parking lot................especially just because you are a Rebel fan.............

I think you made it up, have been caught in too many inconsistencies..............and now just want the subject to go away...........

what inconsistencies? have i changed my story any? do you really believe that robberies don't occur in crowds or in mid-afternoon. i'm sorry, call me what you want, but things happen in memphis and around the US like this everyday.

As far as him telling me you think you're better than me rebel...he was right...

Sorry, I do think I am better than a person who has to steal from others, especially my wife's ring!

don't worry though tiger fans, I'm sure he didn't attend the game

I guarantee you that no Memphis criminal concerned with stealing your wallet and your wife's ring is concerned with weather or not you think you are better than him nor does he care if you are a rebel fan. When I read that your story lost all credibility to me. (As if he wouldn't have robbed you if you were a tiger fan). When rebel fans have to come on our message board and lie about being robbed after a game to try and put down our city it is a sad day. 05-nono

You have been posting on this board for how long now? And you wait until now to bring this up in an attempt to show how crime ridden Memphis is, man give me a break and stop bending the truth. Just remember this, when you speak something into existence (or in this case type) it just might happen. Have fun at the game.

It was probably a hit man his wife hired and he figured he would come out better doing a Robbery since they were both so miserable already and they conspired to blame it on something else like being in Memphis and not feeling safe.

it just shows you how big the memphis game is
to mississippi this yr. their fans have it as a
must win. if we win their coach is in for a
long long yr.

if mississippi loses a couple games early how many
mississippi fans will be calling for him to be fired?

memphis wins this game they have a chance to be
bowl eligible early in the sched.
mississippi loses their hope for a bowl game looks
very very unlikely.
memphis loses no big deal due to the fact that
the no 1 gaol this yr is to win cusa. we have a
legitimate shot at doing so. mississippi has zero
shot at winning the sec. this game is very big to
mississippi. the mississippi fans who discount
that arent being reasonable. memphis doesnt need
this game like mississippi does.

Serious question, memphisrebel.

First, I will take you at your word about the robbery. Sorry to hear it and I am glad your or your fiance/wife were not hurt physically.

Now, what your reaction be if a lot MEMPHIS fans reading your account of the robbery said things such as:

You deserved it because you were wearing Rebel clothing or cap.

Insulted your wife with profane comments, implying she should not have been there anyway.

Basically implied you and your wife deserved to be robbed for walking through the Blue Parking lot where mainly TIGER fans are.

Called your manhood and courage into question for not defending your wife against only two thugs.

Would comments such as these anger you in any way whatsoever?

If SO.....then can you begin to understand how TIGER fans felt about the incident down at the Super Regional where a Texas fan and his pregnant wife were verbally assaulted by a number of Ole Miss students?

And that is NOT a solitary, one-time situation.

You see, I have been down to football games at Ole Miss and been threatened by what I guess were Ole Miss students walking back to my vehicle. I was with my brother and our wives, so we had to laugh it off and keep walking. But still...... to have profane insults thrown at you by a crowd of slightly drunk students is uncalled for. I'm NOT claiming anyone pulled a knife on me. But who can say what might have happened if I charged up to the frat house to challenge them?? What if they had made specific comments about our wives? Am I to ignore it (and therefore be a coward in the eyes of certain Ole Miss posters on this board) OR do I attack and possibly risk a physical beating from 10-12 young men?

FYI, that was the TIGER-Rebel game in 2002. My wife said once we were driving back to MEMPHIS that she would never come back to another game in Oxford.
