I didn't realize how obstinate or stupid Ole Miss fans could be until I went their rivals website the other day. Here is what one poster about the 2003 game in Memphis and our attendance:
Quote:"No way the Tigers had 40,000 in the stands for the '03 season. The whole west side of the stadium was in red. Also, I don't know a SINGLE Ole Miss fan that's not excited about the upcoming year. If you've ever heard Coach O speak, you can't help but be excited. He came in, and in 4 weeks put together a top 30 recruiting class."
OK, first off, Ole Miss was on the east side of the stadium, so this idiot probably wasn't in attendance. Second off, they probably had half, maybe a little over half, of the east side and south endzone.
You would be surprised how many Ole Miss fans think they actually outdrew us that game. Do any of you have pictures of the crowd from that game so I can prove this bozo wrong?
Also, I didn't realize that Coach O was a master orator or anything. I'm sure the excitement of hearing him grunt and make crude animal noises is very motivating and gets everyone optomistic from the upcoming season.

ask Jeb about pictures...he's usually one of the better sources.
I read or hear that crap all the time. If there weren't 40,000 Tiger fans, it was at least 39,999. It was easy 2/3rds Tiger fans...easily.

i dont have any crowd shots that would show that. however, espn took a long lingering pan of that side of the stadium with about 1:00 showing the empty seats where the runts HAD been sitting. they had about 4 or 5 sections high in the north east corner and from the 30 to the middle of the south endzone. about 1/3 of the total crowd. anyone says different either wasnt there or too drunk to know better.
