This is why public figures should keep their mouths shut. He should have contacted the judge to ask for mercy by mail or another method. I'm not saying what he feels is right or wrong. The problem is that when a person who is in the public trust does something that might be percieved as "wrong" it will in the long run affect his ability to do his job.

Unless my memory has completely failed me. I could have him confused with another news anchor. But my recall is usually pretty good. It seems like it was quite some time ago- maybe 10+ years ago.

Even worse, he graduated from Kingsbury. :eek:

I do recall he had a DUI conviction over 10 years ago.

I'm not sure how that takes away from his plea to have mercy on his son.
